How it works
Difference = new − old.
Percent change = (new − old) ÷ |old| × 100.
Using |old| helps keep the percent meaningful when old is negative (common in some KPIs).
Examples
- Old 120 → New 150: difference 30; percent change 25%.
- Old 80 → New 60: difference -20; percent change -25%.
- Old 0 → New 50: percent change undefined; difference 50.
